Comments regarding the Kent Wildlife Park Gig
I saw Keedie
in concert for the first time last night. She honestly seems like a
modest, genuine kind girl. I was at the railings of the stage and she
was just so happy. She loved being up there. She was waving and
smiling frantically all the time. She even beamed whilst singing. She
absolutely adored 'Vissi D'arte', she was so infectious and natural.
She just came out in jeans (with holes in them) and a chavvy top. She
looked very comfortable and she loved the crowd. I don't think a lot
of the people were there to see her (she was overshadowed by Katherine
Jenkins and G4) but she got thunderous applause. I
thought she sang Katherine off the stage.
I knew she was a fantastic singer, but it was only last night that I
really appreciated her talent. Absolutely amazing. A fine performer.
As for the day as a whole... the day was somewhat torturous! It was
boiling hot! The Wildlife park was such a disappointment we went down
to the festival grounds at 2pm. The show didn't actually start (with
the real line up) until about 7.30pm. We had to wait all that time on
a blanket, in the boiling hot sun, with the worst jazz band playing
for 3 hours torturing our souls with absolutely nothing to do. It
wasn't until the crappiest band alive came on and performed at about 5
that it picked up. Yes, they were crap, but damn they were funny.
Meanwhile, I went to the shop to buy a pack of cards to ease our
boredom. The day was horrible. The evening was fantastic. Katherine
came on first at about 7.30 in a stunning blue gown (got some lovely
photos of her for I was right up against the railings at the front)
and sung her heart out. But then she introduced G4! The AMOUNT of
teeny boppers that turned up you wouldn't believe! They were screaming
and shouting like little girls do at boy band concerts. Their
excitement was somewhat infectious however and when it came to their
finale of Bohemium Rhapsody absolutely everybody (my own Mother
included) went a bit crazy.
It was such a great night. Shame no one from here went
