SONGBIRD Keedie Babb made a pig of herself to celebrate her sister's 18th birthday.

The singer wanted to embarrass sibling Natasha while she studied in class at South Devon College.

With the help of friend Nadine, Keedie donned the pig outfit and serenaded her with a rendition of Happy Birthday.

She said: "I just wanted to cause her as much embarrassment as possible and it worked.

"We are a close family and it was all a bit of a laugh."

Also present to share the joke were mum Maria and dad Gary and other members of the Babb clan.

Natasha is not set to follow in her sister's footsteps. She is studying hairdressing at the college.

Dad Gary said: "She has seen how much the top hairdressers charge to do hair for people like Keedie and thinks she's better at that than singing."

Keedie is Perfect Maiden
to Launch Twenty20 Blitz

Chart topping songstress Keedie Babb will make her Twenty20 debut at The County Ground at Hove when she performs during the game between the Sussex Sharks and Essex Eagles on May 28. The versatile singer will also headline at the game between the Sharks and the Hampshire Hawks on May 29.

Keedie is one of the very few modern performers to have successfully crossed between the classical genre and popular pop tracks. In a duet with Duncan James she reached number two in the charts with ‘I Believe My Heart’, the soundtrack to the Andrew Lloyd Webber Musical, The Woman in White.

The songs being performed include ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’, ‘Jerusalem’ and ‘Somewhere’ from West Side Story.

Sussex Captain, Mike Yardy, said: “The atmosphere at the Twenty20 games is sensational and having a superb singer along only adds to the sense of excitement and expectation. The crowd will love it and I’m sure will be cheering us on that bit more after hearing Keedie perform.”
