In the South West alone, there are over 1000
children with a life-limiting or life-threatening condition.
Children's Hospice South West was started to help these children
and their families.
They opened the doors of their first hospice,
Little Bridge House in Barnstaple, in 1995. As the only
children's hospice in the South West, they support over 200
children and their families. They offer them respite,
relaxation, friendship and a sense of community. They can share
the 24-hour care of a very sick child and support the family in
bereavement.
The demands on Little Bridge House had
increased to the extent that there was a vital need for a second
children's hospice but they needed help to raise the £15
million needed to build, equip and endow it with initial running
costs. A staggering £11.5 million, made up entirely of
voluntary donations, has been raised since May 2004. Now,
thanks to the help of thousands of supporters across the South
West, including Friends Groups, businesses and the general
public, as well as the dedicated staff at CHSW their new hospice
'Charlton Farm' near Bristol, is to welcome it's first
families on 30th April 2007.
What was once the dream of Eddie Farwell and
his late wife Jill has now been turned into reality.
Another hospice will mean CHSW can instantly double their
provision and offer more choice to families so that they can
remain close to home or take a complete break away from the area
in which they live. Now, with two hospices to run at CHSW, it
means they can help twice the number of families but it also means
that they need to find twice as much money each year for running
costs.
CHSW needs your help to continue to provide their wonderful
services for up to 400 families each and every year and it is
hoped that the sales of this very special
"KN21"
music album will
help to raise
funds towards their continued success.

"KN21"

|
In 1993 sisters Keedie and Nadine Babb, then at the tender ages
of eleven and ten, began performing live pop music in venues all
over Devon. The name they chose for their act was
"KN21" being their initials and combined ages at that
time. Also, Keedie and Nadine were born on the 21st day of
different months.
At the age of thirteen Keedie also started entering and winning
talent shows and at the age of sixteen, after winning one of the
biggest talent shows in Britain, she was signed to a major
record company as a popular artist.
About this time Keedie discovered that she could naturally sing
operatic music so she sought out a vocal coach to develop this
natural talent. On hearing Keedie, operatic vocal coach Isabell
Morrow stated, "Keedie has the greatest natural operatic
voice I have ever encountered". Since then Keedie has
toured Europe with a 50-piece orchestra, played at
prestigious venues such as The Royal Albert Hall and Blenheim
Palace and released a single record 'I Believe My Heart' which
went to number 2 in the pop charts. More chart success soon followed
for Keedie after she released her stunning classical/pop album
'I Believe My Heart' which soon reached number 4 in the Classical
Music Charts.
"KN21"
contains nostalgic hit songs from the 1960s that Keedie and Nadine sang
and recorded (fantastically well!!) in 1993 when they
were 10 & 11 years of age and also two stunning 'Bonus'
tracks by Keedie which she recorded in 2005. Both these
tracks, 'Would I Know' (original track penned by Diane Warren) and 'Nessun
Dorma' are recordings that can
only
be found on this charity
CD.
